Kimberly Sogioka, mezzo-soprano was previously seen at Opera in the Heights as Suzuki in the dual Japanese/English Madama Butterfly, a role she will reprise with Pacific Opera Project this season. Recently, she performed the role of Mercédès (Carmen) with MasterVoices and Orchestra of St. Luke’s, covered Phuang Tran (The Rift) as part of Washington National Opera’s 50th anniversary celebration at The Kennedy Center, performed the role of Madison in Intermountain Opera’s Montana Mikado. Other roles include Siébel (Faust) and Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) with Detroit Opera, Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) with Opera Tampa, Opera Carolina, Virginia Opera, Toledo Opera, Lyric Opera Baltimore, and Opera Grand Rapids.
