KAYLA NANTO | MEZZO-SOPRANO

Kayla Nanto is a mezzo-soprano based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This season, she will appear in a workshop of the new opera Zheng as the title role with Opera San José and will join Pensacola Opera as "Orlofsky" in their production of Die Fledermaus. Kayla is a two-time District Winner of The Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. Last season, Kayla joined Pensacola Opera as a Jan Miller Studio Artist where she appeared as "Nettie Fowler" in Carousel and joined Teatro Nuovo as a Resident Artist. During the 2021-2022 season, she sang the title role in Carmen with Painted Sky Opera and appeared as “Flora” in La traviata with Fort Worth Opera.
