SISAIAH MUSIK-AYALA | BASS-BARITONE

With a voice the New York Times describes as “burly and resonant,” American bass Isaiah Musik-Ayala is quickly becoming a standout performer in diverse operatic repertoire across the U.S. This season, he returns to Anchorage Opera for all three productions, including his role debut as Haly in L’italiana in Algeri, co-produced with Opera in the Heights. He’ll also reprise his Bonze in Madama Butterfly and perform in an immersive production of Mozart at the Museum. Recent highlights include his LA Philharmonic debut as The Groundskeeper in Last Days, his Anchorage Opera debut as Baron Douphol in La Traviata, and his return to Opera San Jose to cover Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia.
