Katy Lindhart, soprano | TATIANA

Soprano Katy Lindhart is pleased to return to OH! for her role debut as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin. She was previously seen onstage here as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte. Recent engagements include the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd for Opera Omaha, Josephine in HMS Pinafore and Alice Ford in Falstaff for Barn Opera, the world premiere of Zemlinsky’s Zimmer with Little Opera Theater of New York, selections from The Shining with the National Arts Club, Micaela in La Tragedie de Carmen with Raylynmor Opera, and returned as a soloist with the New York Choral Society or Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Mechem’s The Seven Joys of Christmas, and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem.
Nicole Elyse Keeling, soprano | TATIANA
Emerald cast: Sunday, 4/3 & Friday, 4/8
Originally from the South Plains of Texas, Nicole is excited to return to Opera in the Heights for her role debut as Tatiana. She was recently seen as Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro) with OH! and covered Anne Trulove in The Rake’s Progress with Lakes Area Music Festival. Her repertoire also includes the title role of Suor Angelica, Alice Ford (Falstaff), Mimi (La bohème), Madame Lidoine (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Lady Billows (Albert Herring), and the Witch (Hansel and Gretel). She has appeared in concert with Big Spring Symphony, Michigan Opera Theater, and Amarillo Opera and will be the guest Soprano Soloist in Poulenc’s Gloria with University of Arkansas Little Rock this spring. In 2022 Nicole will participate in competitions with the George London Foundation, Lewisville Lake Symphony, and was a finalist in the John Alexander National Voice Competition, and semi-finalist in the Camerata Bardi International Vocal Competition. She has been an apprentice with Opera Colorado, Utah Festival Opera, Lakes Area Music Festival, Opera Breve, the San Miguel Institute of Bel Canto, and spent a summer studying under the tutelage of Marilyn Horne at Music Academy of the West. Nicole holds bachelor’s degrees from Eastern New Mexico University and a master’s in performance from the University of Oklahoma.
Garrett Obrycki, baritone | ONEGIN

Garrett Obrycki spends most days somewhere between artmaking, administrating, and educating. As a performer, Garrett has sung the title role in Hamlet, Billy Blythe, and Don Giovanni all with Opera Ithaca, as the baritone soloist in Beethoven 9 and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass at the Kimmel Center and in Carmina Burana with the Skidmore Chorus. He has performed supporting roles and/or as a young artist with Middlebury Opera, Saratoga Opera, Opera Delaware, Sarasota Opera, and Central City Opera. Garrett has taught and facilitated programming with the Kimmel Center, Opera Philadelphia, the Harvard Kennedy School, the Olivetti Leadership Institute in Piemonte, Italy, and will join his colleagues this July in Costa Rica to facilitate the inaugural year of RenewEd. Currently, Garrett is the Program Associate for Midori & Friends in Manhattan and is the Deputy Director for Eighth Blackbird’s LAB. He holds a BM from Eastman School of Music and a Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Thaddaeus Bourne, baritone | ONEGIN

Thaddaeus Bourne began his musical studies as a flutist. During his masters degree he took voice lessons to study breathing and discovered the joy of wielding swords while yelling in foreign languages. He completed graduate work in voice at the University of Connecticut and Indiana University. He has been praised for his rich baritone (Brooklyn Discovery) his lyrical and touching singing (Parterre Box) and his suave stage presence (Opera News). Performances this season include Fauré’s Requiem (Baroque on Beaver Island), Händel’s Messiah (Calvin Oratorio Society), Match Made in Heaven with Tatiana Lokhina (Shoreline Music Society), and A Multicultural Art Song Concert at Opera America.
Dane Suarez, tenor | LENSKY
Praised for his “big, heroic voice” and “powerful emotions,” tenor Dane Suarez has developed an exciting and varied career. In the 2021-2022 season, Mr. Suarez rejoins Opera Memphis singing the roles of Canio in Pagliacci, Tamino in The Magic Flute (digital), and Antonin Scalia in Scalia/Ginsburg. He returned to Opera in the Heights as Manrico in Il Trovatore, and will be seen as Lensky in Eugene Onegin and Antonin Scalia in Scalia/Ginsburg this spring. Later in 2022, Mr. Suarez will sing Rodolfo in La bohème with Opera Birmingham and Newport Festival. He makes his role and house debut at Festival Opera as Pollione in Norma. Additionally, he was heard in concert with Il Cenacolo Club of SF, New Jersey Festival Orchestra, and Maryland Opera.
Jason Zacher, bass-baritone | GREMIN
Bass-baritone Jason Zacher is quickly gaining attention on a national level as a rising new talent and versatile performer. Mr. Zacher is thrilled to be returning to Opera in the Heights this Spring to reprise the role of Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin. During the summer of 2021, Mr. Zacher joined Des Moines Metro Opera (DMMO), covering the role of Jupiter in Rameau’s Platée. In the summer of 2022, Mr. Zacher will rejoin DMMO, singing the role of Jim in the Midwest premiere of American Apollo (Geter/Palmer), as well as covering Bottom in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. After this, Mr. Zacher is set to join both Kentucky Opera and Opera Orlando as a studio artist for their upcoming 2022/23 season.
Naomi Brigell, mezzo-soprano | OLGA
Naomi Brigell, mezzo-soprano, is gaining recognition as an “expressive, athletic and strong-voiced” presence on the operatic stage. This season, Brigell looks forward to her role debut as Olga in Eugene Onegin with Opera in the Heights, a return to Des Moines Metro Opera as Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as appearing as a guest soloist with Bach Collegium Fort Wayne, presenting a virtual solo recital with Musicians Club of Women, and appearing in art song concerts as part of the inaugural Salt Creek Song Festival. Brigell is an alumna of the young artist programs at Opera Saratoga, Opera Naples, and Des Moines Metro Opera, and is a proud graduate of University of Houston and Boston University.
Laura Coale, mezzo-soprano | MADAME LARINA
Laura Coale has become known for her dynamic performances with Opera in the Heights. She has received much acclaim for her portrayal of Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice, Aunt March in Adamo’s Little Women, and La Marquise in Donizetti’s La Fille du Regiment. Houston Press reviewer, D.L Groover, has described her voice as “powerful, expressive, radiant, and unfettered." He has also stated, “she’s a commanding presence, and her character[s] are fully realized.” Mrs. Coale is on the voice faculty at Lone Star College Cyfair. She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston.
Molly Burke, mezzo-soprano | FILIPPYEVNA
Lauded for her “magical mezzo”, Molly Burke’s roles include Meg Page in Verdi’s Falstaff described as “full, rich caressing mezzo that is expansive”, Mrs. Grosse in Britten’s Turn of the Screw, Elizabeth Proctor in Ward’s Crucible, Queen Leda in Die Liebe der Danae, Mother in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, Ada Lovelace in Kamala Sankaram’s The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace, and Lois Graham in Elizabeth Rudolph’s Petticoats and Sliderules (premiere). She covered Fricka for The Valkyrie. Ms. Burke joined the Wagner Institute for their inaugural season singing Roßweiße in Wagner’s Die Walküre. At Sarasota Opera, she sang una vecchia in Montemezzi’s L’amore dei tre and covered Mere Jeanne in Poulenc’s Dialouges des Carmelites. She was heard as La Badessa and La Suora Zelatrice in Suor Angelica at Prelude to Performance. Ms. Burke has won both national and international awards. www.mollykatherineburke.com
